Born on January 13, 1974, in Elkton, MD, he was the son of Gary Hawks, Oxford, PA, and Sarah Engelson Hawks, Newark, DE. Mr. Hawks was a groomer with Dog Works. He loved nature and enjoyed fishing, gardening, being outdoors and camping. He was a Friend of Bill W. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Nicole Quarto Hawks; children, Aron Scott “Ash” Hawks, Jr., and Ava Solen Hawks, both at home; maternal grandfather, Irwin Engelson, Elkton, MD; aunts, Dee-Dee Beldyk and Lyn Limpert; and many cousins. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Michael BUTLER Clayton Baxter Michael Butler October 23, 1974 - April 29, 1999 Died April 29 in Bear, DE. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Francis Church in Bend, OR. Clayton was born to Randolph Hugh and Carmen (Ulacia) Butler on October 23, 1974 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He lived in Bend, OR from 1984 to 1991. He moved to Newark in 1991 and graduated from Newark High School in 1993. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1997. Since his graduation, he worked as a salesman for C.H. Robinson Company in Vancouver, WA and as a sales engineer for Safety & Supply Co. in Portland, OR. Most recently he was employed by MBNA in Newark and was just beginning graduate school at Goldey Beacom College. Clayton was an Eagle Scout, All-State football player, and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He will be missed for his wonderful smile and great personality. He is survived by his mother, Carmen of Bend, ID; a brother, Randolph Butler, Jr. of Bend, and a sister, Barbara Butler of Newark. He was preceded in death by his father, Randolph Sr. in 1997. |

Eugene S. Christmann "Chris" Mr. Eugene S. Christmann, age 27, of Newark, DE, died on Sunday, August 10, 2003 at his home. Born on September 3, 1975 in Wilmington, Mr. Christmann was a graduate of Newark High School. Following graduation, he served his country for 5 years in the US Navy and received his associate's degree from Cabrillo College, Aptos, CA. He was currently attending the University of California at Santa Cruz, pursuing a degree in environmental studies. Mr. Christmann enjoyed the outdoors and was a champion mountain boarder. A talented artist, he also crafted custom jewelry. He is survived by his parents, Gail (Hunsinger) and Eugene Christmann III; and a brother, Jamie S. Christmann of Newark; paternal and maternal grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at the SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 West Park Place, Newark. The funeral service and interment will be private. of Pennsylvania Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA. Mrs. Given
was a retired school bus driver for the Egg Harbor Township
School District. Survived by: her husband John Given, Jr.;
three children, Anthony Marzano (Laura Natale) David Marzano
(Laura), and Sara Given Camp (Michael), four brothers,
Robert Ellis, Ned Ellis, Randy Loose and Jerry Loose, a
sister, Rosemary Ellis, and her mother, Margaret Mayes.Also
survived by, three grandchildren, Breanna Marzano, Jacob
Earles, Anthony Marzano. She was predeceased by her father,

Jack GIVEN Operated Electrical Business, WWII veteran John A. Given, 75 of Drexel Hill, Upper Darby, who formerly operated an electrical business in Philadelphia died Jan. 1 at Bryn Mawr Hospital Born in Philadelphia, he attended West Philadelphia High School. He was a partner with the late Jack Baylis in the Philadelphia Electric Service, 61st and Market streets, Philadelphia. Mr. Given also worked 25 years at Spencer Gifts of Pleasantville, N.J., from which he retired. He was a "tin can" battleship sailor and veteran of World War II, during which he received a Purple Heart award. He was also a Korean War veteran. Mr. Given was the son of the late William H. and Alberta Stokes Given. He was the father of the late Doris P. Given. Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Margaret A. Martin Given; son, John A. Given Jr. of New Jersey; daughters, Dianne M. Bingham of Delaware, Janet F. Massey of Springfield, Patricia D. Michael CONROY Michael Patrick Conroy Age 25 of Newark died Saturday, July 20, 2002. Michael was a Branch Manager for WSFS/Cash Connect. He attended Wilmington College and was to graduate in August. He was an avid fisherman and was very close to his family and friends. Michael was to be married to his fianc‚e, Amiee Sann on October 4 of this year. He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Helene Conroy; his fianc‚e, Amiee Sann; his sisters, Lisa Murphy and her husband Colin, Kristin McKay and her husband Patrick; his brother, Timothy Conroy; his nephews, Dillon, Conor, and Oliver; his nieces, Shannon and Allison; and many friends.
